   Roy joined SMART as director, software development in 1993 and was appointed to his current position in 1998.In his 18-year career prior to joining SMART, Roy held positions with various engineering and systems development companies, including S.E.D. Systems, Athabasca Research Corporation and Westtech Systems.Most recently he was vice president of technology at Keyword Office Technologies.Roy has a BSc (1974) in computing science from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
