    Richard Anderson, chief administrative officer for the city, said the restaurant owes an estimated $295,000, including four months of rent, back fees and other deposits.

    "What the owner told me was that business was off about 50 percent from last year and with increasing food costs it was just impossible to make rent," Anderson said.

    The first week of May, the city gave the Captain and the Cowboy 10 days to make good on payments or face eviction, Anderson said.The restaurant was shuttered Thursday.
