   Ray Anderson, vice president of DuPont's refinish division, said he anticipates exercising those options soon to keep DuPont's colorful paint scheme on No. 24 for three more seasons.
   
   "It's not a no-brainer," Anderson said. "We have to validate its worth and this time is no different. We're not a consumer company like many other sponsors, but we have positioning that's very valuable."
   
   The cost of DuPont's sponsorship hasn't been disclosed, but most high-end sponsorships approach $20 million a year. DuPont's price is set through 2010, Anderson said, so it won't be affected by Hendrick's recent signing of Dale Earnhardt Jr.

   For the past two-and-a-half years, Ray Anderson has served as director of DuPont Investor Relations. Among his previous assignments was a 1986-1990 stint with DuPont Performance Coatings, where he served first as a financial manager, then global business director for the Maintenance Coatings business.
   
   Anderson joined DuPont's Finance Department in Wilmington in 1974. From 1974-1983 he progressed through a number of analytical, accounting and supervisory assignments in the Corporate Finance Department. In 1983, he was named comptroller and financial planning manager for DuPont do Brasil in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
   
   In 1991, Anderson was appointed president and country manager for DuPont Korea in Seoul, Korea. Returning to the U.S., he was appointed Global Financial Director of the Crop Protection Products business in 1994.
   
   Anderson was next appointed vice president and chief financial officer of DuPont Canada in 1995. Three years later, he moved back to Wilmington as managing director-finance for DuPont's Agriculture and Nutrition platform.
