Pam Driesell Anderson
The Reverend Pam Driesell Anderson is the organizing pastor of Oconee Presbyterian Church, Watkinsville, GA. Before going to seminary, Pam directed an ecumenical youth ministry for ten years in Roanoke, Virginia.Her undergraduate degree in Communications is from James Madison University in Virginia.She has a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies from Hollins College in Virginia, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey.Prior to coming to Georgia, she served as a Pastoral Intern at Meadows Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville, VA. Pam's heart for young people is an integral part of her calling to the pastorate.She has a passion and vision for the church to be a safe place for all generations to connect with God and one another.
In August 1999 she was called by the Northeast Georgia Presbytery to organize a church in Oconee County.She and a growing core group have been reaching out to others with the Good News of God's love for all revealed in Jesus Christ.Oconee Presbyterian Church now has 100 charter members with weekly worship attendance averaging 100.Having recently acquired land in the heart of Oconee County, and with a growing group of faithful disciples, Oconee Presbyterian Church will be chartered on October 28.
