Clean Cities recently hired an Executive Director (July '99), Nicole Anderson, who has been working with Board Members on revitalizing the program. The Clean Cities group secured funding ($128,000 in private, federal and state funds) for the purposes of salary, overhead, office supplies and other expenses associated with hiring an ED. Wisconsin Electric Power Company is currently donating office space for the program. The ED will focus mainly on public information and outreach, grant writing, fundraising, and events coordinating. (Nicole was with the Governor's Alternative Fuels Task Force from 1994-1997. Prior to joining Clean Cities, she served as the Environmental & Agriculture Analyst with the Wisconsin Legislature - Assembly Republican Caucus.)

The two and a half day course (day one - CNG; day two - LPG; day three (half day) - E-85 will be held late Winter, early Spring (March/April).

If you would like to join any of the committees, please contact Nicole at 221-2812.
Technical committee members would work with the Executive Director on developing a quality technician-training course that would provide mechanics with hands-on PRACTICAL experience with troubleshooting AFVs.
Infrastructure committee would work with the Executive Director on developing a valuable fuel map that would give detail on where existing publicly accessible fueling sites for CNG, LPG and E85. The map would focus on Wisconsin, which would include a special section targeting the Southeastern Wisconsin ozone nonattainment region. Fuel corridors to Illinois and surrounding areas may also be added.
