   Most don't, though some want to buy the vegetables, said Ann Anderson, director of CASA (Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound).

   They are, however, fresh. And every year for the past 10, hundreds of volunteers have carried squash and beans, cucumbers and okra to the homes and apartments of the elderly and the homebound. Folks, said Anderson, who once tended their own gardens but can no longer.
