Nancy Bell Anderson discusses the historical significance of an isolated spot on the Washington side of the mouth of the Columbia River in the presentation, "The Columbia River's Ellis Island" - The Story of Knappton Cove, including the Columbia River Quarantine Station that was established on the cove in 1899. The program will be held on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:00 pm at the Yelm Timberland Library. A display of artifacts and a slide show of vintage photos will also be included.
