DOVER, NJ, December 2, 2003- Amateur photographer, Michael Anderson from Boca Raton, Florida, submitted an image he took of a Connecticut marina shrouded in fog on New Year's Day 2003, and walked away with a new 2003 Nissan 350Z sports car, compliments of Casio, Inc., sponsors of the EXILIM "Anytime, Anywhere" Photo Contest.
Winning Photo taken with Casio EXILIM EX-S2 Michael Anderson used his Casio EXILIM EX-S2, a 2-megapixel digital camera at a marina in Branford, Connecticut, just off Long Island Sound. He decided to enter the image because it had a "mysterious ambience" about it he said.
"I've always enjoyed taking photos and just got into taking digital photos about three years ago. The Casio EXILIM is fantastic because of its credit-card size, I take it everywhere," said Anderson.
Anderson, who is employed by a major technology firm, said that he heard about the contest via an e-mail that he received from Casio as a result of his completing a product registration card. "Casio made it so easy to enter the contest," Anderson said. "I simply completed the application form, attached the image, and e-mailed it to the Casio web site. If it wasn't so simple to enter, I probably wouldn't have done it." Anderson said that while he really liked the image he sent in, he was shocked to hear that he actually won. -
