   Michael Anderson practises in the Corporate department and Finance team. He focuses primarily on securities law and financing, and has acted for corporate entites, issuers, banks, packagers and other intermediaries in relation to a full range of financing and investment transactions.
   
   Michael's work has included advising one of New Zealand's leading merchant banks in relation to the acquisition and securitisation of part of the Housing Corporation mortgage portfolio. He has also advised corporate trustees and issuers in the securities law area in respect of debts, quasi debt or equity securities.
   
   Michael has acted for publicly listed companies in the issue of securities and advised a number of finance companies in respect of their retail and wholesale lending and funding activities. He currently advises the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in New Zealand in respect of its lending and funding activities.
   
   Michael joined Chapman Tripp in 1982, practising initially in the firm's Wellington office before moving to Auckland. He joined the partnership in 1988 and was the Managing Partner of the Auckland office from 1995 to 1996.
