   Mia Anderson is the founder of Women of Wisdom, "the inclusive group of the south," as well as the exhibitors coordinator for the WHO Convention. She felt unwelcome in groups at her homeschool organization because she was different politically, philosophically, and religiously. She got along by keeping a low profile but this resulted in shallow connections. Taking the bull by the horns, she and a few like-minded moms ran an ad and formed a group.

   About two years ago, Mia Anderson led a movement to establish a "Legislative Action Committee" for the Washington Homeschool Organization (WHO). She and the committee have begun to keep track of pending legislation and meet with legislators and state agencies on the behalf of homeschoolers as well.
