Merlin Orson Anderson Sr EAST CARBON - Merlin Orson Anderson Sr. , beloved husband , father , grandfather and brother passed away May 27 , 2001 in Provo. He was born Sept. 26 , 1923 in Price to Ralph P. and Effie Branch ( Liddell ) Anderson. He married Dolores Dee Erickson Nov. 23 , 1955 in Salt Lake City. Later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints , he served in numerous callings , including two missions and as a temple worker in the Manti LDS Temple. A Korean War veteran , he was employed as an engineer in Hiawatha and East Carbon for 30 years. He excelled in writing poetry and enjoyed painting. He will always be remembered as being a good and wonderful husband , father , grandfather and lifelong gospel teacher. He is survived by his wife , Dee , East Carbon ; daughters , D'Lynn A. Seal , East Carbon ; J'Lynn ( Jason ) Allred , Sacramento , Calif. ; sons , Ralph T. ( Crystal ) Anderson , Springville ; Merlynn Jr. ( Lissa ) Anderson , Ogden ; James Anderson , Dallas , Texas ; 12 grandchildren ; brothers , Clifford ( LaVerl ) Anderson , Tremonton ; DeLoy ( Betty ) Anderson and Richard ( Millie ) Anderson , Wellington ; sisters , Arlene ( Bob ) Conger , Orem ; and Velora ( Hal ) Anderson , Price. Preceded in death by his parents ; sister , Carol Monson ; infant brother , Ralph Clinton ; daughter , Deborah ; infant son , David ; and stepfather , Frank LIddell. Funeral services will be Wednesday , May 30 , at noon at the East Carbon LDS Chapel.
