   Matthew A. Anderson is an associate at McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Ltd. Matt joined the firm as a law clerk in 2000, and has since gained a wealth of experience relating to all aspects of intellectual property law. In addition to extensive legal research and writing, he has assisted with the prosecution of patents in both the United States and Japan. Also, Matt has traveled to a number of patent infringement trials in federal district courts throughout the country.
   
   During law school, Matt gained valuable experience by participating in Notre Dame's top-rated Trial Advocacy program. In addition, he coached a team of high school students throughout their preparations for a statewide mock trial competition.
   
   Before law school, Matt managed the development of a new starch extrusion process at Parkway Manufacturing, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona. Also, working for AlliedSignal, Inc., Matt assisted with the design and development of gas turbine engines. As an undergraduate student, Matt was invited to speak on a number of occasions with industry leaders on behalf of the Engineering College.

   Matthew A. Anderson specializes in patent litigation. His work has involved a wide range of technologies such as cell phones, cable management devices, lighting fixtures, electronic lighting controls, barcode printers and surgical devices. He is a member of the bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He also is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and D.C. Circuit.
