Williams will be the featured potter at the 16th Annual Potters Market in Marion on Saturday.
But that's not the only thing making this time of year special.
Williams, who has gained fame as "The Cat Potter" for her cat motif pottery, has also completed her annual ornament for the Randolph County Humane Society. It's a dog bone, a departure from the collage of animals on previous ornaments.Collectors, even those who don't own pets, line up for her ornament every year.

Christmas cats will be at the show in Marion and at her pottery in Seagrove.
The Potters Market in Marion, Williams said, is limited to potters only and is an interesting mix of potters from all over North Carolina.
"This is a pottery lovers' show and a chance for people to see the different styles of potters from all parts of the state," Williams said.
Williams, along with several other Seagrove potters, have participated in all 15 Potters Markets. The show is a grassroots program of the McDowell County Arts Council. It has grown from a dozen potters the first year to the capacity of 60 potters in the past few years. Now, there's a waiting list of potters.
