FARMVILLE, Va. -- Mary Katharine Ballard Anderson, formerly of Bristol Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on March 11.She resided in Farmville and was 89 years old.She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George A. Anderson.

Born the daughter of William Riley Ballard and Laura Blanche Banister Ballard in Glen Jean, W.Va., she is survived by six sons and a daughter, Dr. Andrew S. Anderson, Dr. Sidney B. Anderson, Dr. Charles C. Anderson, Dr. Peter W. Anderson, Edith B. Anderson, David B. Anderson, and Dr. George E. Anderson.

Mary Anderson concluded her valiant battle with cancer and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
