   Port of San Diego Appoints Chris Anderson As Director, Real Estate Development
   
   (SAN DIEGO - February 9, 2001) M. Christine Anderson has been appointed to Director, Real Estate Development for the Port of San Diego's Real Estate Division, effective January 22, 2001.Anderson comes from the Port of Port Angeles, where she worked as the Executive Director since February 1994, and also is a former employee of the Port of San Diego.
   
   In her new capacity, Anderson oversees the operation of the Real Estate Development (RED) Department, manages tenant development projects, negotiates real estate option agreements and leases, and prepares Request for Proposals (RFPs) for development of Port properties.
   
   "We are very pleased to have Chris lead the development side of the Port's real estate activities," said Tom Morgan, Senior Director for the Port's Real Estate Division.

   While in Port Angeles, Anderson was active in the Washington Public Ports Association (WPPA).She Chaired the WPPA's Trade and Economic Development Committee and Leasehold Excise Tax Committee, and actively participated in the Legislative Committee.Under Anderson's management, the Port of Port Angeles was named "Port of the Year" by the WPPA in 1997.
   
   Prior to Port Angeles, Anderson served as the Director of Property Management for the Port of San Diego.She was responsible for overseeing the management and development of the Port's commercial, retail, industrial and airport properties.
   
   Anderson is a San Diego State University alumnus.She holds the professional designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management and the Professional Port Manager (PPM) designation through the American Association of Port Authorities.She is also active in community activities and has served on the Board of Directors of United Way, YMCA and Camp Fire.
