   M. Elizabeth "Liz" Anderson has devoted much of her life to volunteer work. In the area of children's activities, she has served with the Girl Scouts, the PTA, Little League, and youth hockey. In the civic realm, she has been an election official, a member of the League of Women Voters, and a member of Westford's Permanent School Building Committee. In the area of health, she served on the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary and currently volunteers at the Westford Nursing Home. She is also a member of the Board of the Westford Garden Club.
   
   The area in which Liz has made her greatest contribution, however, is in helping organize charity golf tournaments. She is a mainstay of the FleetBoston Classic, a Senior PGA Tour event which supports the Nashawtuc Charities. Liz volunteers for the Classic on a year-round basis helping organize and prepare for the tournament, but her most visible contribution is the leadership she assumes during the tournament. This year, she is the Uniform Chairperson, inventorying and distributing 1500 uniforms for volunteers and is the organizer of the Hospitality Pavilion, running three events per day. In 2001, she was Merchandise Chair and a Hole Captain. As her nominator said, "Liz managed to be in two places at once! This tournament would not function as it does without the genuine hard work and dedication of volunteers like Liz."
