M.D. Anderson

M.D. Anderson, the father of the M.D.Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.Anderson was born in Jackson in 1873.He founded An-derson, Clayton & Company, which became the world's largest merchant of cotton.He moved his business to Houston in 1907.In 1941, his charitable foundation made a contribution to the University of Texas, which resulted in the M.D.Anderson Cancer Center.
