Leigh Anderson, Chief Technology Officer Leigh Anderson was named chief technology officer for Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) in 2004, after serving as both Global Operations director and executive director for Technology. Under his guidance, GHX has assembled a world-class technology team, with more than 70 IT and software engineering resources in product development, quality assurance, application support and infrastructure. When Leigh Anderson joined GHX in 2001, he brought first hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities faced by IT professionals in a hospital environment. In his previous position as director of Information Systems for a fast growing acute care hospital in Colorado, Anderson oversaw successful deployment of a new information system that was key to the hospital's plans to become an integrated delivery network. Anderson also initiated a supply chain optimization program with the hospital's chief financial officer.

Anderson's combined expertise in technology and healthcare has enabled GHX to develop and implement quality products and services that address the most critical needs of the medical supply chain from materials management transaction flow and content validation, to contract price discrepancy and reporting. Working in a hospital environment also honed Anderson's ability to leverage existing technology environments to maximize value while managing total costs. Following GHX's merger with Medibuy, Anderson managed the successful consolidation of three geographically separate data centers into a single infrastructure that expanded both the level of support and breadth of services provided to GHX members.

Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Hofstra University in New York.
