"It's important to relax after exercising," says club manager Kyle Amadon."Rather than working out and going right back to a stressful life situation, it's great to be able to soak in the hot tub, stretch in a yoga class, or just sit down and relax for a few minutes in the lobby."
One of the best ways to let your body and mind unwind after a workout is with a massage."Massage can be a wonderful release after an intense workout," says Amadon."And it can be as simple as relaxing you, or as significant as realigning your posture.Massage is not a substitute for stretching-it stimulates the muscles rather than stretching them-but it can definitely make you feel a lot looser if your body is tense after a workout. And if you're feeling tired and run-down, a massage can actually rejuvenate and refresh you."
Each club has massage therapists on staff who are available until 8 or 9pm every day. Both chair and table massages, lasting anywhere from 10 to 90 minutes, are available.
