    Mr. Amadon worked as a letter carrier at the Bennington Post Office for 37 years, retiring in 1977.

    He served during World War II with the 123rd Battalion of the Navy Seabees in the Pacific Theater.

    He was a past state deputy of the Vermont Knights of Columbus, a life member and past grand knight of the Bennington Council 307.He was also past faithful navigator of the 4th Degree Assembly, a life member and past president of the Bennington Club, a member of the Bennington Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 13 of Bennington, the National Rifle Association, Hale Mountain Rod and Gun Club in Shaftsbury, National Association of Letter Carriers and AARP.He served as a state representative in 1985 and 1986.

    Mr. Amadon enjoyed fishing, hunting and cribbage.

    Survivors include his wife; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
