Debra Alves promoted to Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Pension Fund at CBC Radio Canada

We also received our annual update on the CBC Pension Plan from the managing director/CEO, Debra Alves.

As well, Debra Alves, the new CEO of the CBC pension plan, and retiring CEO Steve Cotsman, briefed us on the plan's performance in 2006.

Debra Alves has been appointed the Managing Director/CEO of the CBC Pension Fund.

Ms. Alves has been a director of the Company since June 1999.Ms. Alves has served as the Strategic Investment Portfolio Manager at the CBC Pension Fund since 1997.From 1988 until February 1997, Ms. Alves held a variety of treasury and pension fund positions including Manager, Pension Fund at the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.Prior to that time Ms. Alves was the Assistant Treasurer (Funding) of the Farm Credit Corporation.Ms. Alves is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tampa, Tampa, Florida.

Debra Alves, the strategic investments portfolio manager of the CBC employees' pension fund, feels that Skypoint can capture the enormous opportunities in the telecom industry. 'We invest in these types of small strategic investments because they have strong return potential that, even through they represent a small percentage of our portfolio, can impact our overall returns.
