The Reverend Canon Elizabeth Geitz is Canon for Ministry Development and Deployment in the Diocese of New Jersey.
She is the award-winning author of seven books including Fireweed Evangelism: Christian Hospitality in a Multi-Faith World and Calling Clergy: A Spiritual and Practical Guide through the Search Process, both by Church Publishing.
She has led workshops in numerous dioceses throughout the Episcopal Church and at our General Convention.
In addition, she is the recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Alumna Award from General Theological Seminary.
Hospitality and evangelism ministry lie at the heart of Canon Geitz's ministry and she looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm with you!
The Reverend David Stout has been rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Asbury Park, New Jersey, since August 2004.
Before coming to Trinity, he served as an associate priest at St. Bartholomew's Church in New York City.
While attending Duke Divinity School, he discovered the Episcopal Church through the brothers of the Society of St. John the Evangelist.
He left seminary, became an Episcopalian, and worked for several years in the sports marketing industry.
He completed his seminary training in 1996, meeting his diocesan requirement of Anglican (Episcopal) studies by serving a year as the seminarian intern at Canterbury Cathedral in England.
He was ordained in the Diocese of East Carolina and was curate at St. Paul's Church in Beaufort, North Carolina for three years before being called to St. Bartholomew's Church in Manhattan.

The Reverend Martin L. Smith is currently Theologian-in-Residence at St. Columba's Church in Washington, DC.
Well-known throughout the Episcopal Church as a preacher and author, he currently contributes a regular column, "Bearings," to the diocesan newspaper in Washington, DC.
His most popular books are T he Word is Very Near You, A Season for the Spirit, and Reconciliation.
He has traveled extensively in the USA and Canada over the last twenty-five years: preaching; leading retreats, parish and diocesan renewal events; and giving lectures and seminars.
He was also Chaplain to the House of Bishops for several years.
He was invited to join the staff of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2002 and works there full-time as a writer.
