As CATS Program Manager, Abbe manages the Community for Academic Technology Staff (CATS) programs, which includes coordinating the annual CATS conferences and overseeing the TIGERS grant projects, and producing bi-monthly HorizonLive presentations and meetings for the Community.She also assists with project management activities related to MERLOT and other CDL projects.

Abbe has a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Ohio State University and a secondary teaching credential in Language Arts from U.C. Berkeley, where she also did graduate work in Comparative Literature.She has coordinated numerous educational conferences, institutes, and meetings.Abbe came to the CDL from the Sonoma State Office of Sponsored Programs where she wrote grant proposals and supported faculty grant projects.
