Nicole Allen Cook is currently the Director of Marketing of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.She holds an MBA and MA from Southern Methodist University, and a BM in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas.Devoted to increasing audiences and their understanding of what happens on stage, she was drawn away from a career as a professional musician to a career in arts marketing with the hopes of making an impact on the growth and survival of classical music in North America.Trained as a Suzuki student, she has performed in the International J. S. Bach Competition in Leipzig, Germany, and as soloist with several symphonies, including the Mississippi Symphony, the University of North Texas Chamber Orchestra, and the Tulane Symphony.Nicole has been on the faculty of the Suzuki Institute of Dallas and the Settlement Music School of Philadelphia.She has studied Suzuki pedagogy with esteemed teachers including Carol Bigler, Ethel Fang, Lorraine Landefeld, and Christine Allen.Previously the Marketing Manager of The Philadelphia Orchestra, she now resides in New Jersey with her husband and Great Dane.
