Allen brings a wide range of retail leasing experience from the Dallas , San Antonio and Chicago markets to UCR.Prior to joining the company , Allen was director of retail leasing for West End MarketPlace and ECOM Real Estate in Dallas.There , she handled all of the retail , entertainment , and restaurant leasing for the company in the West End.Allen was also director of retail leasing at North Pier Chicago for Moor + South Management Company.There , she helped increase occupancy from 79 percent to 93 percent in two years , which helped generate a six percent increase in sales for the entire property.In 1990 , Allen was retail leasing representative for DK/Carlson Associates Inc. in Rosemont , Illinois , where she leased a 1.5 million-square-foot portfolio , and negotiated major agreements with national retailers Blockbuster and Walgreens.From 1987-90 , Allen was a retail leasing specialist for Wilson Schanzer , Inc. in San Antonio.She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers ( ICSC ) , Commercial Real Estate Women ( CREW ) , and is licensed in both Texas and Illinois.Allen holds a business degree from Western Illinois University.In her spare time , she enjoys travel , parasailing , snorkeling , and is an old movie buff.
