After introductions, Ms. Sahar Ali, Panos South Asia's Country Representative in Pakistan welcomed the participants and provided a background to PSA's fellowship training model for mid-career journalists.She gave a brief overview of the UNDP Fellowship, and explained the objectives of the national orientation.Ms. Ali also told participants about the upcoming regional training workshop in Colombo in early April, and gave details of the fellowship time line and expected outputs.

Sahar reviewed the rfapid assessment surveys which the fellows had not fully completed, and asked them to complete these before the Regional Training.
