    The Mike Alesko Design Scholarship Committee is proud to announce Alieze Ali as its second annual MADSF winner. Alieze received a scholarship award to be used for tuition in the 2000-2001 academic year.

    Alieze Ali, 2000 Winner Alieze Ali recently graduated with a BA in Integrative Arts from Pennsylvania State University. She will be attending Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in the fall to pursue her dream of becoming an apparel designer. As an undergraduate, Alieze excelled in her design and art classes. She designed costumes for several school plays as well as designed the logo for the Multicultural Resource Center Student Interest group. Additionally, Alieze worked with several student organizations geared to help minorities and the disadvantaged. Alieze was an Executive Officer of Black Student Union, worked on the Student Advisory Board, was a peer counselor, and worked with the Adult Literacy Program.

    She currently volunteers much of her time at church to help the youth, homeless and sick in her community. We are very pleased to award the 2000-2001 MADSF scholarship to Alieze!
