   Anne Aldis has an MA and has been Research Manager at the Conflict Studies Research Centre, UK Defence Academy, since the mid-1980s. She, and the Centre, have been active partners in several internationally-funded research, conflict resolution and defence diplomacy projects in the Baltic States, around the Black Sea and in the South Caucasus. CSRC has published under her oversight several hundred research papers on the problems of Central and Eastern Europe and the former USSR, including collections of conference papers and monographs.
