Annabel Alderman

Annabel will teach poetry.She concentrates her time and attention on writing novels, plays, short stories, and newspaper audiences and to talking to audiences wherever they may be found.She lives in her hometown of Nashville, GA, and she is a graduate of the ABAC Police Academy.Her first novel, Family Man, was published in 1999.She won Georgia Press Association's premier recognition for her weekly column, "The Focus On" and was nominated for Georgia Author of the Year and for the Townsend Prize for Fiction in 2000.Her poems have appeared in a variety of magazines and she garnered first place in poetry in SWA's poetry competition in 2001.She has a collection of heartbreak verse Lost Loves Don't Count.She has an essay in Crossroads 2005 (A Southern Culture Annual) entitled "Pseudo-Southern".She writes a column "Dirt Road Poet" for Valdosta magazine.
