   Aaldering joined Xilinx in 1999 bringing over 20 years of semiconductor experience.Prior to Xilinx, Aaldering held a range of positions in the development of silicon and software for microprocessors and programmable logic families for Philips Semiconductors, Cypress Semiconductor and Intel Corp.
   
   Aaldering holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from California State University at Northridge, where he was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering honor society.He is a member of IEEE and holds a US patent in the area of programmable logic.
