McCuen, who manages the USPS account for NAI, and Alder, who manages the NAI relationship for the USPS, obviously have spent a huge amount of time refining the reporting process as they coordinate the hundreds of NAI and USPS professionals involved.

But Randy Alder, a real estate specialist for the USPS in the Denver, CO office, says they sold the excess land to the gas giant Aug.15, 2000.

"I figured it would be a done deal," Alder says."Usually they (Exxon-Mobil) won't close on a deal if they aren't certain about it.The site was very competitive, and there were a lot of companies vying for it."

He confirmed there are obviously no plans to expand the Ocotillo post office station.

Randy Alder, the real estate specialist for the U.S. Postal Service who handled the sale, said the city closed on the building in July and paid $150,000 for it.
