   Mr. Alden was employed by Sperry Gyroscope in Long Island programming the Univac I. He later worked at IBM programming various systems until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Alden served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Missouri from 1943 to 1947 and served in the reserves until 1965.
   
   Mrs. Alden was a communications-cryptographic officer in the U.S. Navy. She was a teacher for the Poughkeepsie City School District until her retirement and is a former supervisor for the Town of Hyde Park. She has served on the board of directors for Family Services Inc. and been active with the Dutchess County Historical Society, Youth Resources Development Corp. and the Winnakee Land Trust.
