Mark Aldbrook has been involved in the field of Interior Decoration and design for more than twenty years.As a Director of Blanchards of Sloane Street (the first publicly quoted Interior Design plc), he was responsible for projects in the UK and worked extensively in the Gulf States.

As well as working for a wide variety of International clients, his work has ranged from country houses to Duplex apartments

Country House Dining Room He believes that the mantra that best expresses his design philosophy can be summed up in the two words "warmth and timelessness" and he has always been a strong advocate of mixing antique and contemporary furniture in a harmonious fusion.

He works closely with Adrienne Chinn (www.adriennechinndesign.co uk; email: info@adriennechinn.co.uk), who recently has had her book, "The Home Decorator's Colour & Texture Sourcebook" published by "Apple".

Paravent was started in 1989 by Mark Aldbrook, who had previously been a Director of Blanchards of Sloane Street.In 1999, Mark Aldbrook had his book, "the Folding Screen", co-written with Paravent artist Charles Hemming, published in London and New York by Rizzoli, the pre-eminent art Publishers.

Mark Aldbrook also lectures on antique and modern screens and related topics and the U.K. and the U.S.He was infited to write the foreword to the catalogue of and give the principal lecture ot the 2002 San Francisco Fall Antiques Show.In January 2004 he lectured in Palm Beach, Florida and tought for the BIDA (British Interior Designers Association) on the 9th of March 2004.He is the Senior Design Mentor at the JDD,ADD Design Academy and lectures, inter alia, at the European School of Business Studies and Christies Education.

INTERIOR DECORATION

Mark Aldbrook has completed in the last year the entire furnishing and decorating of a penthouse in Westminster and designs for a country houae to be built in the West Country.

He actively welcomes all enquiries for Interior Design and Decoration.

It is an ADA Projects venture, recently completed by Mark Aldbrook (Senior Tutor)
