Tim Alcorn, executive director for MARL, said interest in the program has grown since it started eight years ago.
"We're really pleased with the reception and the broad participation that we're getting from across the state," said Alcorn."This class will have people from Duluth to Winona County, down into Jackson County and all the way up to Polk County. That covers the four corners of the state."
Alcorn said much of the interest comes from people who hear from past class members and their experiences.
"I attribute a lot of that to the past participants in the program that go back to their communities and organizations, talking highly about their experience in the program," said Alcorn.

Alcorn said the program draws community leaders from around the state to participate in seminars and events around Minnesota.
