Alcorn presents seminar on law GALESBURG - Daniel S. Alcorn, attorney with the Galesburg firm of Stoerzbach Morrison P.C., presented a seminar to Chamber of Commerce members here on recent legislative changes to Illinois employment laws. The seminar was at the Galesburg Public Library.
"Many of the recent changes in law will require revisions to businesses' policies and employee handbooks," said Alcorn. "For example, several new leave entitlements will require amendments to policies regarding employee leave."
Alcorn spoke to seminar participants on amendments to the Illinois Human Rights Act, the Illinois Family Medical Leave Act, the Employee Blood Donation Leave Act, the Prevailing Wage Act and the Workers Compensation Act, among others.
The seminar was one of many sponsored by the Galesburg Chamber throughout the year to provide businesses with information vital to their continued growth.
