Albus said the owners plan to spend in excess of $2 million this season on team operations, on players' salaries (which the league caps at $300,000 per team), travel, marketing and facility fees for the 10,000-seat Family Arena in St. Charles where the Steamers will play.
Tickets for Steamers games range in price from $7 to $15.Albus said he expects the team to be profitable within the second season and the investment recovered within the third season.
