George James Albro was born February 19, 1909 in McClouth, Kansas to Clark and Anna (Wright) Albro. They moved to Arnolds Park in 1914, where George graduated from Arnolds Park High School. He married Winifred Wasser June 1, 1929 at Storm Lake. George started in the dry cleaning business in 1927 under Charles Tennant.

George was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park and the Masonic Lodge in Milford. He is survived by two grandsons, John Albro of Waddell, AZ, and Jeff Albro of Hacienda Heights, CA ; great grandsons, Nicholas and Ty Albro of Saugus, CA ; sister, Mabel Wilson of Spirit Lake ; niece, Doyne Hummel, who has been his caregiver the past four years, other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred December 31, 1984, son Jim ; grandson, Jim ; brother, William and sister, Elizabeth. Services were held September 30 at Calvary United Methodist Church with burial in Okoboji Cemetery.
