   "This gives us the opportunity to draw a broader range of customers," said John Albright, senior vice president of development at Simon Property Group, owner of the Florida Mall.
   
   Albright said the "lifestyle" design was chosen because it offers the chance to sign up unique retailers that may not have considered moving inside of the mall.In addition, consolidation in the department-store industry limited the possibilities of finding a tenant that could fill the large, two-story Lord & Taylor anchor, Albright said.
   
   The mall is moving ahead with plans to tear down the former Lord & Taylor site in October and is in talks with stores including H&M, known for its affordable just-off-the runway fashions, Dick's Sporting Goods, bookseller Borders and others.
   
   "There are certain tenants that just come to a lifestyle center," Albright said.
