Nynas has announced a new long term supply agreement for bitumen produced at Ingolstadt refinery in Bavaria, Germany, subject to a successful acquisition of the refinery by Petroplus.Production is expected to be in excess of 150Kt in 2007. The new supply agreement is in line with Nynas strategy to strengthen its position in existing markets.Nynas specialises in manufacturing bitumen for the asphalt, road construction and roofing industry and is expanding its global business through production in own refineries and partner refineries throughout the world.Petroplus has been a business partner with Nynas in Europe since 2003 and produces bitumen to Nynas specifications for several different markets.
