Adrian Albino

On April 27, authorities found St. Cloud High School student Adrian Albino, 17, dead in the St. Cloud canal.He drowned after he attempted to cross the canal with several friends during a nighttime paintball game, St. Cloud police said.

The two deaths are on track to surpass last year's total record of three Osceola drownings, according to Orange-Osceola County Medical Examiner's Office records.

Some suggestions from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission concerning children and pool safety include:

* Remove toys from in and around the pool when it is not in use.Toys can attract young children to the pool.

While playing paintball with his friends on Saturday night, 17-year-old St. Cloud resident Adrian Albino drowned in the St. Cloud canal, located just behind the mill.

Albino, who was an honor roll student at St. Cloud High School and popular with his peers, was attempting to cross the canal with several friends during an evening game.
