   MARTIN ALBINI • MECHANICAL ENGINEER Marty has been providing Strategix clients with critical thinking, thoroughly analyzed and groundbreaking mechanical design, and insightful production support since 1997. Marty has lent his skills to many design efforts while at Strategix ID in fields as diverse as electronic component packaging, recreational vehicles, and surgical devices among many others. His work on the revolutionary TR5 stationary bike resulted in an IDSA Gold Award. Marty's contributions to the Instrumed SmartPump surgical cuff inflator and the eddy-current brake system associated with the Athlon ICB 2.0 exercise bike resulted in the issuing of patents for these new technologies
   
   Throughout his 20-year career, the last six with Strategix, Marty has pushed himself to learn and experience every avenue of Mechanical Engineering. He graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a BS in Applied Mechanics and minors in Film Production and Mathematics. He spent eight years at Hewlett Packard in San Diego, and after moving back to Montana he spent a year designing dynamometers for Dynojet Research and five years performing finite element analysis, designing laser crystal production machinery, and fabricating and testing laser optics for Scientific Materials.
   
   During the past six years he has provided not just mechanical expertise to many Strategix customers during the design of the product, but has also provided assistance in transitioning designs to production, including fixturing, tooling, setting up production lines, and on-site problem resolution, with multiple trips to Taiwan and Mexico as well as many US locations. One of his greatest assets is his ability to learn a diverse array of tasks quickly and get up to speed on new technologies. Marty has operated 6 different CAD systems, has used 3D CAD since 1983, and has extensive experience in finite element analysis.
   
   Despite long hours at Strategix he still manages to have time for a wife and 3 kids, including teaching part-time at one son's school. He also operates a small ranch where he and his family raise horses, sheep, and turkeys. In the fall you will find him with a full beard in preparation for ‘chasing the wily wapiti.' Marty's willingness to try any kind of food once has earned him endless ribbing by his co-workers and the respect of foreign hosts--who always find it a personal challenge to try and find a local specialty that he won't eat.
   
   Marty is the Montana Section Secretary of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and members of the Society of Plastics Engineers and Society of Automotive Engineers.
