Marie B. Albina (Barbagallo), 78, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her loving children, after a three-year illness.

Marie was born on Jan. 18, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Mary and Sebastiano Barbagallo. Marie was raised in Mizpah by the loving and devoted Eckardt family. Marie was a graduate of Pleasantville Senior High School, Class of 1946. She thereafter married and moved to Vineland, where she had two children. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Through hard work and dedication, Marie worked her way up to become a stockbroker/financial adviser and was employed by Smith Barney until her retirement in 1989. Marie was a lifelong member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and also was a past member of the Zonta Club. After her retirement, Marie enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, going dancing, cooking and baking her delicious baked goods, and she especially cherished the time she spent with her two grandchildren, Bailey and Jared. Marie was well known for her delicious baked goods, which she generously shared with her family and many dear friends. -
