   Rick formed Kairos Communications to produce videos that document important social interactions. As a documentary photographer and videographer, he often sees things that do not officially exist. He likes to think of the camera as a tool to give his audience access to worlds needing hope. He attempts to craft beautiful images of ugly conditions to move people and change perceptions.

   In 1994, Rick co-authored the book, Designer's Guide to the Internet, published by Macmillan/Hayden Press and since then has written articles for CBA Marketplace and HOW Magazine. During the last few years he has also taught The Business of New Media, a course he developed for the Digital Design program at the University of Cincinnati, for which he has also co-taught Visual Interface Design via distance learning.
   
   Rick and his wife, Nancy, reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

   Rick is currently producing The Least of These: The Plight of the World's Abandoned Children - a social documentary - that seeks to expose the unacceptable plight of these children to a wide public, in an attempt to move viewers past pity to active compassion, as a first step in galvanizing support to bring about solutions to this seemingly intractable problem.
