Mark Albertson Mark Albertson is the Executive Producer of "Tech Closeup", a new weekly television program covering the high technology industry.
Prior to developing this television program, Mark was the Senior Vice President for California and the Western U.S. for AeA (formerly known as the American Electronics Association), based in Santa Clara, California. He was responsible for overseeing eleven of AeA's seventeen councils in the Western U.S., which included approximately two-thirds of the association's total membership. In addition, he built and implemented AeA's State Policy Action Network (SPAN) to represent the interests of the high technology industry in state capitals across the country.
Prior to joining AeA, Mr. Albertson was Vice President of Corporate Relations for Amdahl Corporation in Sunnyvale, California. In this role, he was responsible for managing the company's worldwide internal communications functions, including print, Internet and video programs for Amdahl employees. Mr. Albertson also managed Amdahl's state and local government relations, community relations, corporate speechwriting, and corporate contributions programs.
Mr. Albertson previously worked for National Semiconductor in Sunnyvale, California where he was the Manager of Corporate Communications. He has also worked as a freelance journalist, writing for the San Francisco Examiner and numerous publications in the Bay Area.
Mr. Albertson is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Santa Clara County Chapter of the American Red Cross and is a graduate of the Community Leadership San Jose Program.
