Robert E. Albertine , 60 , of Millis

MILLIS - Robert E. Albertine , 64 , of Millis , formerly of Newton Corner , died Tuesday , Feb.22 , 2001 , at the Boston Medical Center.

He was born and raised in Midvale , Ohio , and was the husband of Sandra S. ( Smith ) Albertine.

He served in the U.S. Air Force in Bangor , Maine during the late 1950s , at the Dow Air Force Base where he met his wife.

He was a graduate of the New England Institute of Funeral Directing and Embalming in 1962.He was a bus driver for the MBTA , retiring in 1999 after 30 years of service.He and his wife were volunteers for the Underwood School P.T.A. in Newton , and for Newton Youth Hockey.

He was a member of Boston's Covenant Congregational Church in Forest Hills where he was head usher.He volunteered at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and a member of the Macedonian Lodge A.F. and A.M. of Quincy.

He leaves a son , Joel R. Albertine and his wife , Teresa , of Millis ; and three grandchildren , Brianna , Robert and Nicole Albertine , all of Millis.

A funeral service was held Sunday , Feb.25 , at the Dolan Funeral Home.There will be a memorial service at the Covenant Congregational Church at a later date.
