Since playing kick-the-can as a youth, Rene has earned a BFA from Sarah Lawrence College, The short film, above & beneath, marked Rene's directorial debut and screened in over 25 film festivals including the Sundance Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival. above & beneath made its television broadcast premiere on the PBS , Reel New York film series. The short film, Ride!, is currently in pre-production. Rene has several feature film projects in development.
