Evelyn Ain, the director of Autism United and the mother of Matthew, a nonverbal autistic 8-year-old, says, "I don't want Matthew to be called a spoiled brat, undisciplined, or a moron, or that I or his father don't give him enough love.

Ain says, "Sickness, illnesses and mental disorders should not be targets of entertainment and it does not fall under freedom of speech."
Maybe he thought he could get away with it because since they couldn't speak or defend themselves, no one would fight back.
But, boy, was he wrong!
When he later tried to explain his original comments he mentioned that he had a severely disabled sibling who died in an institution.
He may have had a sibling who had a bad disorder, but that should make him more understanding about other disorders and the hardships that the parents go through knowing their child will be different from the other kids.
Savage's comment is very much like his last name, which means "angry," "cruel," "primitive" and "bad-tempered."

Ain and Autism United are also now trying to get legislation passed saying that this kind of hate speech should not be permitted.
