Sarah Agee formed Sterling Search, Inc. in early 2002.Having worked for one of the largest executive search firms globally, in the non profit, education and healthcare sector, she recognized that there was a need for quality search services for non profits who could not afford the "big company" pricing.
Without borrowing a penny Sarah started Sterling Search out of a bedroom of her house and her first search was for a Director of Major Gifts for a non profit in Los Angeles.

Having a generalist background and a thorough knowledge of the search business, other for profit organizations came to Sarah to see if she could help with their search work.Sarah had to make the decision of whether to refuse the work (because of limited capacity) or to add a team of people.Today, Sarah has a team of fifteen professionals, all who are well tenured and an amazing asset to Sterling Search's near 100% fill ratio.

In looking at creative talent acquisition solutions for companies, Sarah decided to unbundled the search process for companies that have volume needs. She recognized that most large companies' recruiting teams were so busy responding to the influx of resumes from postings that they did not have the time to "recruit" passive talent. In times of low un-employment most of the "hard to fill" positions can not be filled by job postings alone. With that in mind, Sarah embarked on unbundling her search services to compliment the team of existing "in-house" recruiters.
