photo of Tamara AdlinTamara Adlin is the President of Adlin, Inc., a customer experience consulting firm located in Seattle.Adlin has helped such companies as Apple Computer, Zillow.com, and PetSmart to develop innovative online experiences.Her previous work experience includes starting the customer experience team for Amazon Services, which helps create holistic e-commerce solutions tailored to online and multi-channel retailers' unique brands, businesses, and customers.Before that, she was a Senior Usability Specialist, also for Amazon.com, consulting with teams across the organization to improve user experience for buyers, sellers, partners, and support professionals.Prior to that, she was the Human-Centered Design Lead at Attenex Corp., a legal services software company in Seattle, where she worked on advanced document management interfaces.She has also led teams and designed interfaces for Web applications at Akamai Technologies, INTERVU, Netpodium Corp., and MetaBridge.Adlin holds an M.S. degree in Technical Communication from the University of Washington, where she focused on user interface design techniques and interdisciplinary communication.She's presented tutorials on personas and other customer-centered design methods at various industry and academic events around the world.
