Peter Adler was born in Frankfurt a/m, Germany.He escaped to England just two weeks before the start of World War II in Europe.Peter arrived in the United States in 1940.In 1945 he entered the art program at the High School of Music and Art in New York City.Peter studied painting at The Cooper Union and with Nicholas Marsicano at the Brooklyn Museum Art School as well as with the watercolor painter Martin Ahearn in Rockport, Massachusetts.

Peter was a founding member of the Art Directors Club of New Jersey, is a member of the Art Directors Club (New York) and from 1965 to 1990 was the creative director of Adler, Schwartz Inc., a Bergen County advertising agency.From 1990 to the present, he has been servicing a number of graphic design and website clients as Peter Adler Advertising Design, LLC.Examples of his work can be seen on his website at www.peteradlerdesign.com Peter taught graphic design and computer graphics at Bergen Community College and has taught visual arts and marketing courses at Teaneck's Fairleigh Dickinson University, Parsons School of Design and The School of Visual Arts in New York City.
